Julie Okah-Donli, Director General, NAPTIP Nigeria, said that Human Trafficking is a complex crime that goes beyond national borders and requires the cooperation of International Police to effectively stem the tide of the menace. Thereafter, she gave a comprehensive vision on NAPTIP’s efforts to combat human trafficking and called for all stakeholders to do more.

Paul Stanfield, Interpol Director Of Organized Crime stated that the main agenda of the conference is to talk about what more can be done against this scourge.

Stuart Symington, US Ambassador to Nigeria highlighted the value of forming strong networks against those that seek to do harm.

Mr. Markus Green, AGA AAP Board Member outlined activities of AGA AAP on the continent and reinstated the commitment of the Africa Alliance partnership to Africa in combating transnational crimes.

The 6th Global Conference hosted in for the first time in Africa was an opportunity to highlight the importance of a uniform approach to combating this organized crime syndicate. The conference was followed by a glamorous Gala Night hosted by NAPTIP and sponsored by AGA AAP.
