On 23rd -24th September 2019 AGA-Africa participated in Accountability, Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Programme in collaboration with the Office of the Director Public Prosecutions in Ho, Ghana. The objective of the programme is to contribute to current reform processes in the area of rule of law, accountability, anti-corruption and environmental governance.
The five-day training was aimed at building capacity of 50 new prosecutors on the Elements/Rudiments of prosecution and Human Trafficking in Ghana. It was graced by Ms. Cynthia Lamptey, the Director of Public Prosecutions in Ghana.
Representing AGA-Africa was Mr. Chukukere Unamba-Oparah, AGA-Africa programme Coordinator and Ms. Maame Hagan, AGA-Africa Country Coordinator for Ghana. The programme was facilitated by Mr. Justin McNabney, Deputy Chief of the Human Trafficking Response Unit, Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and Ms. Natalae Velez, Assistant Prosecutor, Special Victim Bureau’s Domestic Violence Unit.
