Seminar – Fight Against Human Trafficking, Smuggling & International Organized crimes, Nairobi, Kenya.

In conjunction with CWAG, Githu Muigai, Attorney General of the Republic of Kenya, hosted one-day seminar in Nairobi on April 12, 2017, featuring CWAG Associate Attorneys General Karl Racine of the District of Columbia and Lisa Madigan of Illinois. The seminar invited Kenyan national and local law enforcement to deliberate on the fight against human trafficking, smuggling and international organized crimes. Attorneys General Madigan and Racine, shared their experiences, challenges, and best practice with Kenya.

The forum also addressed aims to improve cooperation in the investigation and prosecution of these heinous crimes and to build a network of practitioners to enhance the fight against the crimes. As a result of the seminar’s huge success, the Attorney General of Kenya is proposing future plans, requesting CWAG send more Attorneys General to Kenya.
